We do not reset Readiness Exams because retaking the same test only shows memorization, not true understanding or clinical judgment. A higher second score can give a false sense of confidence, and since the NCLEX® won’t repeat the same questions, memorization is not helpful. Instead, focus on understanding why you missed questions and commit 50–100 hours to mastering core content. You should be able to explain the material out loud without notes and follow the study strategies in the “How to Pass” video.
Also, some students are required to meet score thresholds by their faculty. Resetting tests would invalidate those scores, as repeated attempts reflect memorization, not knowledge. At Hurst, we strive to be fair and consistent for all students.
